Ferdi Gazendam is a Director of Envisionme.co, a subsiary company in the Adcorp Group and birthplace of www.envisionme.co.za and www.nojoshmo.com - a personal branding and recruitment environment for people to find the perfect job and for recruiters to find the perfect candidate. Both envisionme.co.za and nojoshmo.com harness all the power of social media and interactive web content in a fast changing global recruitment environment. Also owner of Madnez AG Investments, a company specializing in internet business initiatives and a Director of Digital Solutions Group, a company specializing in technology solutions particularly in the mobile arena. Ferdi Gazendam is currently the chairman of Life College, a social business that develops a Champion Mentality through education. He has been a Life Champion at Life College for the last 12 years. He keeps his passion for movies going through Ambic Pictures, a small finance and production company, the latest project being the next Leon Schuster movie, Mad Buddies. Ferdi Gazendam is also on the board of TUKS Football, the home of AmaTuks, the PSL football team.  In a previous life, Ferdi Gazendam held the title of CEO of Primedia Content Division, the division in Primedia Ltd responsible for all the content businesses in Primedia, including Ster-Kinekor Theatres, Ster-Kinekor Home Entertainment, iAfrica, ExactMobile and many others. After 10 exciting years in senior management at Primedia, he decided to test the market with some radical new initiatives Ferdi Gazendam is a Chartered Accountant by training, spent 10 years with Deloitte and was CEO of Deloitte IT Consulting before being lured to the world of mobile with the launch of Vodacom.  Seconded to Teljoy Ltd, the biggest Vodacom Service Provider, he became CEO of Teljoy Cellular Services – Prepaid. Ferdi Gazendam was on the main boards of Teljoy Ltd and Primedia Ltd and during his time at Primedia, was chairman of The South African Oscar nominations committee, chairman of SAFACT, the South African anti-piracy industry body and represented the industry on numerous industry bodies both local and international.

We started the development of NoJoShmo.com, a social media job board in 2009 and somewhere in 2010 started discussions with Adcorp Ltd, a listed company on the JSE and the market leader in the recruitment space in South Africa, re becoming our partner in this exciting initiative. In 2010, Adcorp made their first investment and will continue to invest over the next 2 years. We are developing www.nojoshmo.com - international focus, and www.envisionme.co.za - South African focus.

Primedia Content Division contained all the movie, home entertainment, gaming, internet and mobile interests of Primedia - Ster-Kinekor Distribution, Theatres, Home Entertainment and Games, Primedia Online(iafrica.com), Knowledge Factory, Prezence, Spectrum and ExactMobile. I was CEO of Ster-Kinekor Group and Ster-Kinekor Theatres as well and on the boards of all the divisions and companies in the Content Division.

CEO Teljoy Cellular Services - Prepaid at Teljoy Ltd

1997 - December 1999

Teljoy Cellulare Services was the dominant Service Provider in the Vodacom stable. Subsequently bought out by Vodacom, Teljoy Cellular Services was a key business partner to Vodacom from the startup days to when it was ultimately bought out. With the launch of pre-paid, all service providers established divisions focussing on this lucrative market. I remained on the Teljoy Ltd Board.

Started as an article clerk direct from University of Pretoria and immediately wrote my CASA board exam. Completed my articles at Deloitte Pretoria Office, was given the incredible opportunity to spend nearly 3 years at Deloitte London office in their technical department. First exposure to personal computers and hooked for life! On my return from London, joined Deloitte Management Consulting and ended up as CEO of the Information Technology Division. 10 wonderful years that formulated the direction of my career.
